Nothing screams Thanksgiving like Green Bean Casserole. To me, it is the epitome of American food: it was created in a food laboratory, out of mostly canned / frozen ingredients, and has enough sodium to kill you (well, not really – the lethal dose of NaCl is 3,300mg/kg).I find this recipe to be a much better option, if you must have this all-American dish at your Thanksgiving.
I can argue that green beans are not paleo, since they are a legume, and that you should avoid consuming them in large quantities. But that would violate rule number one of Marina’s Rulebook on How Not to Suck in Life – don’t be a plonker.
