Stylish, high-quality athletic clothes. The outfits are affordable and, aside from a few misses, very flattering.
After much back and forth, I finally signed up for Fabletics. Because of my training schedule, I need to replace my outfits quite often, and the convenience of getting a new one every month made it a no-brainer.
In a nutshell, Fabletics is a monthly workout clothing subscription, and each month you can pick out any outfit you like from the current collection, or past ones that are still in stock. You can also skip the month, and are not charged the monthly fee ($49.95 in the US).
So, on to my first order. I selected the Riviera and the Bermuda Dunes, and they arrived within a few days in a simple polyethylene envelope.
The Riviera is comprised of the Salar Capri and the Taylor Tank. From the Fabletics website:
Because everything is better in leggings. The Salar Capri is no exception with its smooth, stretch design. The Taylor Tank lends a bit of edge to the look with its soft fabric and open draped back.
The leggings are indeed smooth! I love the fabric, it is soft, stretchy and thick enough to withstand abuse without cooking me in the humid and hot South Florida weather. It has a strong belly band, and I feel the soon-to-be-gone muffin-top stays put, even through the weirdest of bends. The band has a little pocket, big enough for keys and a fitbit, but not big enough for a phone. It is also very flattering on my booty.
The top is adorable, and I can see myself wearing it outside of the gym. The construction is great, the fabric is soft, and it is very flattering on a less than flat tummy. The only issue I had with it was that it shifted A LOT when I was doing burpees or anything a bit more vigorous. I ended up tucking it into my sports bra, and that solved it.
The Bermuda Dunes is a three piece outfit, and it includes the Salar Capri at a shorter length and the Sol Tank, which is technically a sports bra / tank combo. From the Fabletics website again:
Good news: Our best-selling Salar style is now available in a fresh crop length. Keep the active look going with the Sol Tank’s stretchy fabric and open back mesh feature.
As I mentioned above, love the leggings, and having different lengths available is great!
The top is comfy, but it’s not the most flattering. Starting with the sports bra: I’m a 34D, so I already went in with low expectations, as most S/M/L sized sports bras don’t quite fit me. However, I was still disappointed. Because of the way it is constructed, the bra squished my girls to the point it looked like I was a B cup at best, pushing all the extra towards my arms, and that made it look like I had A LOT of underarm fat. I am sure it would be perfect for girls with a more common size, and it would be perfect for yoga or other low impact sports
The tank itself has a really cute back. I love the mesh racer back and the scooped lower back. However, the way the hem is cut at the front, makes even the flattest of tummies look bloated. I found that I had to “rouche” the hem up to make it a bit more flattering.
Overall, I’m very satisfied with my Fabletics experience. If you would like to sign up, the first outfit is only $25, with free shipping and easy returns. And, if you use my sign up link, I’d love you tons for it, since I get a store credit.
I would love to hear your experience with Fabletics. Feel free to rant (or rave) in the comments below.
